Professional Development

Professional development refers to skills and knowledge attained for both personal development and career advancement. The Career Center is available to meet students' professional development needs.

The Career Center offers the following professional development workshops:
  • NEW - Financial Literacy
  • How to Find a Job
  • How to Choose a Major
  • Interviewing Skills and Professional Dress
  • Proper Social Media Networking (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and more)
  • Resume Development
  • Smart Professional Networking
  • Office Etiquette and Professionalism
  • Overview of Career Center Services and Resources
  • Internship Program Overview 
Professional Development workshops are available by Faculty/Staff request only.

All requests must be made at least 3 weeks in advance.
Workshop Request Deadlines (if you are requesting a workshop after the deadline, it may not be accommodated.)
Fall semester: October 1st
Spring semester: February 1st
Summer semester: June 15th

Students can schedule individual appointments with a Career Center Staff member to discuss professional development.
For personal and academic development, visit the Learning Commons website.
Many additional career-related resources are available through the Library's online database.
