Credit by Exam

TCC may award credit through the following accelerated mechanisms:
  • Advanced Placement (AP)
  • Cambridge AICE Exams (AICE)
  • College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Dantes Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)
  • Excelsior College Examinations
  • UExcel Excelsior College Examination Program

Section 1007.27(2), Florida Statutes, requires the Articulation Coordinating Committee (ACC) to establish minimum scores, maximum credit, and course or courses for which credit is to be awarded.  These are subject to change every year. The DSST and Excelsior College exam equivalents on the list are not part of that requirement, but are authorized by State Board of Education Rule 6A-10.024.
