Notice Regarding Email Outage

The originally scheduled maintenance update for single sign-on is taking longer than estimated. The scheduled maintenance window has been extended until Sunday, July 24 at 6 p.m. Students, faculty and staff will have limited or no access to TCC email during this time.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program at Barry University empowers you with the technical, business process management, and leadership skills necessary to compete and excel in today’s age of innovation.
 
The BSIT program enables you to: 
  • Choose the course delivery method that you prefer: evenings, Saturdays, and online available
  • Acquire the knowledge and skills required to succeed as an information technology professional
  • Become familiar with current technologies, tools, and methodologies
  • Understand the different components of the information technology field, including hardware, software, communication, networking, research, and people
  • Learn how to methodically and practically approach a variety of technological and managerial issues to improve business strategies
  • Analyze and evaluate organizational systems and processes that meet an organization’s needs and goals
  • Earn up to 30 college credits from learning acquired through professional work experience and community service
  • Choose from a variety of specializations and minors to customize your degree
Many of our core and elective courses are aligned with current industry certifications that aim to endorse a professional’s knowledge and skills. We will help you prepare for the following certifications:
  • CompTIA’s A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+
  • Microsoft’s Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Certified Professional (MCP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
