Benefits

TCC2FSU provides guaranteed admission into Florida State University for Tallahassee Community College Associate in Arts degree graduates when graduates meet the specified FSU program milestones and requirements. Other benefits include:

  • Personalized advising with transfer-focused TCC and FSU advisors
  • Specialized programming and college success workshops
  • Support for students wishing to stay on track and apply for FSU's competitive limited-access programs

With a smooth transfer process, personalized advising and excellent faculty and resources, we provide a strong foundation for graduates moving on to FSU.

Requirements

Before you get started, make sure you meet the following requirements.

  • You are just getting started. Must be entering TCC with 15 credit hours or less.
Note- You may still be considered for TCC2FSU with over 15 credit hours of Dual Enrollment, AP, or IB credit.
  • You are college-ready. Placement test scores have you entering directly into ENC1101 (College Composition) and MAT 1033 (Intermediate Algebra) or a higher-level math.
  • You plan to transfer after graduation. Must be enrolling as an A.A. degree-seeking student with plans to transfer to FSU after earning an A.A. Degree from TCC. You cannot be attending TCC for only one semester before transferring.
  • You meet the milestones. If bringing in credits (dual enrollment, AP or IB), then those classes must meet FSU's milestones as classes in the degree program.

You also must be willing to attend TCC2FSU special events, orientation and advising with TCC and FSU advisors to stay on track and earn your degree.

If you don't meet these requirements, there are still many other available options for transferring after graduation. Visit the Advising Center and talk with an advisor about your academic plans to find out more.

Experience

Located just one mile away from FSU's campus, TCC offers a rich student life to match FSU's. Find your passion and immerse yourself with TCC's many clubs and organizations including the Honors Program, Theatre TCC!, Model United Nations, our award-winning speech and debate team, and exciting study abroad programs.

Many activities hosted at FSU are also open to TCC2FSU students like sailing and canoeing at the FSU Reservation, playing golf at Seminole Golf Course, bowling at Crenshaw Lanes, attending a concert at Club Downunder, or watching a movie at the Askew Student Life Center Theater. Current TCC students who are officially accepted into the TCC2FSU program can also purchase special membership passes through FSU Campus Recreation at campusrec.fsu.edu/tcc2fsu. These passes are good for an entire semester and include either access to FSU recreational facilities, the ability to participate in intramural sports, or both.
