Information for Dual Enrollment Students 

 

 Admission Criteria General Dual Enrollment

 

For new students:

  • You have a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA.
  • You have appropriate test scores on SAT, ACT, or PERT (pdf). Test scores need to be less than two years old. Please consult with your guidance counselor.

For continuing students:

  • You maintain a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA.
  • You maintain a TCC GPA of 2.5 and a 75% success rate.
 

 Admission Criteria Early Admissions

 

​For new students:

  • You are in 12th grade.
  • You have a 3.5 unweighted high school GPA.
  • You have appropriate test scores on SAT, ACT, or PERT (pdf). Test scores need to be less than two years old. Please see your respective counselor.

For continuing students:

  • You are in 12th grade.
  • You maintain a 3.5 unweighted high school GPA.
  • You maintain a TCC GPA of 3.0 and a 75% success rate.
 

 Steps to Register and Documents Needed

 

​Meet with your guidance counselor early: they can help you with registration and documents, testing, and finding appropriate classes for your goals.

Below are the documents that need to be submitted before you can start taking Dual Enrollment classes.

Make sure the forms are signed by all parties, and submit official transcripts.

 Class schedule changes

 

​If you are already registered for classes, but wish to change your schedule, please submit your signed Course Adjustment form.

This form can only be used for changes to your classes BEFORE the add/drop period ends.

How does a dual enrolled student withdraw from a class?

If you determine that you need to withdraw from a class (this will be reflected as a "W" on the academic transcript), you are required to discuss the situation with your guidance counselor. The Permission to Withdraw form (.pdf) must be completed and signed by school or county officials before submitting the form to the TCC Dual Enrollment Adviser.

  • Withdrawal dates for Spring 2016 are as follows:
    • Main session: March 25, 2016
    • January Express session: February 10, 2016
    • February Express session: April 6, 2016
    • March Express session: April 12, 2016 

Steps to Continue as a Degree-Seeking Student

If you plan to continue attending TCC as a degree-seeking student after your Dual Enrollment program, your status at TCC has to be changed.

  • Submit the Change of Program (pdf) to the Admissions and Enrollment office.
  • Submit the Florida Residency Declaration (pdf) to the Admissions and Enrollment office.
  • Self-register to attend the New Student Orientation for degree-seeking students.
  • Submit your final high school transcript with graduation date to the Admissions and Enrollment office.
  • If home-educated, submit the Affidavit of Home School Completion​​ to your TCC Dual Enrollment adviser.
  • Submit any additional test scores (if applicable) to the Admissions and Enrollment Services office.
