Heroes Helping Heroes: A Conference for Those Working in the Public Safety Field
TCC is excited to host the Heroes in Public Safety Conference for first responders. This hybrid conference includes three days of sessions, case studies, and in-depth workshops specifically dedicated to how first responders can better work together to ensure the safety of our community.
The HIPS Conference was designed to showcase what our public safety community is currently doing, highlight best practices, and discuss how we can shift public perception in an environment of civil unrest and COVID-19.
This year’s program theme is Heroes Helping Heroes.
This conference will be held in hybrid format May 18 - 19, 2022 at TCC's Florida Public Safety Institute Conference Center. May 18-19 will be full days. For those who are unable to attend in-person, you can stream the conference virtually!
Each day will have a specific theme:
- May 18: Wellness in Public Safety
- May 19: Leadership, Recruitment & Retention in Public Safety
Conference days will begin and end with a Keynote presenter, with breakout sessions in between. The sessions will be 60 minutes in length.
This conference is open to ALL first responders and community members.
Wellness in Public Safety
The theme of Day 1 of the Heroes in Public Safety Conference is Wellness. This session will touch on the broad spectrum of wellness--from physical and mental care to spiritual and financial wellness.

The theme of Day 2 is Leadership, Recruitment, and Retention, which will feature many expert speakers. Topics will range from best practices in public safety hiring to leadership development.

The third and final day of the Conference will feature sessions under the theme of community engagement in public safety. Speakers will focus on topics like public relations and educating the community about the work of public safety officials.
