Before coming to TCC, Jacqui worked for the state government for 37 years, where she 20 years training officers at the Florida Public Safety Institute. Once she retired, she set forth to fulfill her goal.

After hearing a commercial about TCC’s experienced entrepreneurial course, she immediately registered and began classes.

“I happened to be fortunate enough to walk in on the night that they had invited a guest speaker from the Small Business Development Center,” said Jacqui. “At that point, I began to say ‘okay, this is what I’m supposed to do.’”

Today, Jacqui is working alongside the Small Business Development Center to get her business, JDL & Associates Educational and Professional Development Services, LLC, up and running. JDL will provide homeschooling, tutoring services, copyediting services and writing services.

She attributes her success to TCC, as she was able to learn everything she needed to

“TCC was life-changing,” said Jacqui. “It helped me realize my dream. In coming to this class and completing it successfully, I’m now comfortable with [the components of business].”
