The Tallahassee Community College Veterans Success Center is holding a grand opening for the Stars and Stripes Lounge for military affiliated students on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1:30 p.m. on the College’s main campus, 444 Appleyard Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32304.
The Stars and Stripes Lounge provides veterans and their dependents a space to relax and enjoy TV, gaming, arts and crafts as well as access to a refrigerator and microwave. The new lounge will also have events such as Movie Mondays on the first Monday of each month. Students would get the opportunity to watch movies while enjoying a free bag of popcorn.
The lounge will also host relaxation sessions during finals week which include free chair massages and therapy dogs.
