Sharisse Turner, Dean of Transitional Studies at Tallahassee Community College, has been invited to join higher education leaders from the National Organization for Student Success (NOSS) to facilitate a three-day symposium at the Gulf University of Science and Technology (GUST) in Kuwait in May. During the symposium, NOSS will provide professional development for educators in Kuwait in areas such as curriculum and program design, leading organizational change, active teaching strategies in Math and English, and designing student support programs. Turner will be joined by the NOSS executive team as well as administrators at GUST and K-12 teachers.
GUST has had a long-lasting relationship with NOSS, with many of its university leaders traveling to the United States to attend NOSS conferences. The University has invested in their educator’s professional development by sponsoring a team from the United States to conduct these symposiums.
