Tallahassee Community College has officially opened applications for the Eagles RISE Summer Academy. The program will take place on TCC’s campus from June 27, 2022 to August 9, 2022.
This six-week summer bridge program helps students develop the skills necessary to thrive academically by creating a supportive peer network, establishing relationships with faculty and staff, and becoming familiar with the campus facilities and resources. Participants will take two clustered classes, English Composition (ENC 1101) and College Success (SLS 1510) along with student engagement workshops and seminars. Participants will receive scholarship dollars for summer tuition and fees, and they will also receive free textbooks, priority registration for classes, personalized academic coaching, and more.
“The summer academic is an excellent opportunity for high schools graduates to begin their post-secondary education debt-free and early", says Sharisse Turner, Dean of Transitional Studies.
Eligible students are Florida residents who are 2022 high school graduates who intend to attend Tallahassee Community College for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. Interested students should apply here. The deadline to apply is March 18, 2022.
